May your Sunday vibrates with gentle, boundless grace.🌱
Now for our daily shots, A Day Light at the Manila National Museum of Art The sun was almost going noon as we stepped into the grand halls of the Manila National Museum of Arts, entrance is free hence the large volume of people visiting. The floors of this building echoed with whispers of history. We started in the Spoliarium Hall which is the main attraction of this museum and was dwarfed by Juan Luna’s colossal masterpiece but photos of it not included here. There's a large hall that's been dedicated to all the heroes from our old generations. Here's where we spent some time to look at each of the presented arts.
We can almost feel the weight of time as we stand before these pieces, each of the arts is a testament to the country's struggle for independence and cultural identity. The detailed craftsmanship and the artist emotion captured in these works set the tone for the people exploration.
Lots of Filipino artists there to see and each honored for their exceptional contribution to the arts. We walk past names like Fernando Amorsolo, known for his vivid landscapes, and Carlos Francisco, famous for his historical murals. Each of our local artists has a dedicated section displaying their most iconic works and it helped to delve deep into their unique styles and the stories behind their art creations.
Tip: Wear comfy shoes—the art here demands slow, wandering feet.
