We had kind of a whirlwind Sunday. We were in DD, and the next hour or so, we were in the other house. Sometimes, my hooman parents do things abruptly; they make me feel confused and excited at the same time. But it's okay, I'm getting used to it already.
It was pouring hard yesterday when we were on the road. Because of that, the windows were shut. But I got myself a cozy spot to watch things go by ahead of us. Dada seemed to love it; he let me stay there for as long as I wanted while he maneuvered the wheel.
My mummy? Well, she enjoyed her seat without me stepping on her tummy and arms.
But before we went home to the other place, we dropped by the school parking lot, where I spent almost four hours waiting for them. They said they needed to pay their last respect to a grandpa (their uncle on Mummy's father's side of the family) across the river, and couldn't take me with them because there would be a crowd. My fault entirely. I howl at most people and dogs, too.
And even when I don't, it's kinda taboo to bring me into a wake. While some people love seeing me in my mum's arms, others talk differently. So yeah, I often quietly take the back seat and curl up until their return.
I should mention that they also left me all alone at the other house last night when they attended their cousin's wake. But Mum let me climb up the bed first. And there, she took some snapshots while I tried to rest beside my imaginary friends😂
I sensed them at the door around 2 am. I can't believe they have been out for seven hours! I understand, though. It was their last chance to see their cousin (on Mummy's mother's side of the family) in his physical form.
They joined me in bed for a sound sleep, but I woke them up just before seven in the morning. I heard a knock, that's why. Mum's Dada was calling us for breakfast. Too early, huh? Well, he did not know they were out until the wee hours.
So yeah, we ate. Then they chit-chatted for a while (120+ minutes), and we hopped into the car for a drive, not to another place, but to come home to DD, where, like the Lil Kingdom, it is quieter, so we can rest to our heart's content.
Cheers to a lovely new week!
