I am A big gaming fan, I am also A big fan of being active. when gaming meets physical activity it is A win-win!
One of my goals this year was to get outside more and travel and naturally walking around is a big part of that. I use many apps and even hive based dapps based on step-counting, GPS tracking, and more. I also play A mobile game that heavily relies on outside play and that game is of course Pokemon Go.
More recently Pokemon has been having some dev VS Community drama and it's become a weird standoff as the devs haven't even acknowledged or responded in any way about the controversy and instead just continue going about their normal business. Despite being a little burnt out and unmotivated to play Pokemon Go mainly due to Niantic I decided to download another game made by Niantic called Pikmin Bloom. Pikmin Bloom is similar to Pokemon Go with the same sort of concept but is much more relaxed and more passive letting you continue going about daily life it counts steps and has a nice progression system which is nice.
I just love it when there are apps/games that slightly gamify things when it comes to being active and being outdoors it is so much more motivation and whilst you are working towards progress in the app/game you are also making progress on your health.
