Este valse venezolano de origen larense ( Venezuela - Edo. Lara ) fue compuesto hace un siglo por el maestro Antonio Carrillo.
Cuenta la tradición que el maestro Carrillo junto con sus colegas músicos , recién compuesto el vals, una noche fueron a darle serenata al párroco de la Iglesia. Una vez que terminaron de tocar el vals , Carrillo le dice al parroco " el vals no tiene nombre"... el padre de la Iglesia al contemplar la serenata bajo la luz de las estrellas le dijo a Carrillo: " Vamos a llamarlo , Como llora una estrella ".

This centenary venezueland waltz from larense origin ( Lara state. Venezuela ) was composed by the master Antonio Carrillo.
Tradition has it that Carrillo with his colleagues musicians newly composed the waltz, one night they went to give a serenade to the Church's priest. Once they finished playing the Waltz, Carrillo told the pastor that the piece has not name. The priest while he was listenig the waltz , he was contemplaiting the light of the stars and he said: We are going to name it " Como Llora una estrella ".
