Przedstawiam kilka zdjęć z miasteczka Maidstone znajdujące się w hrabstwie Kent, niedaleko rzeki Medway. Za Saksów miasteczko nazywało się - de maeides stana lub maegdan stane, co oznaczało - lud kamienia lub kamień panny. Az w roku 1396 dzięki Domesday Book, ewoluował do nazwy Mayndenstan. Obecna nazwa pojawiła się przed rokiem 1610.
To taka krótka informacja, teraz zdjęcia a na końcu zadam zagadkę. :)
- I present a few photos from the town of Maidstone located in Kent, near the Medway River. Saxons charters, the town was called de maeides stana or maegdan stane, which meant a stone of the people or stone of the maidens . Then in 1396 thanks to the Domesday Book, it evolved to the name Mayndenstan. The current name appeared before 1610.
