This is one of the places we were not supposed to go to, because tiredness and weariness directed us towards the hotel and a long rest. Our guide, however, had his opinion and took us to the Kaunghmudaw Pagoda.
To jedno z miejsc do którego mieliśmy nie trafić, gdyż zmęczenie i znużenie kierowało nas w stronę hotelu i długiego odpoczynku. Nasz przewodnik jednak miał swoje zdanie i zawiózł nas do Pagody Kaunghmudaw.

Kaunghmudaw Pagoda was built in the 17th century near Mandalay in the village of Sagaing. It is a pagoda from the village of Ruwanwelisaya, modeled on a Buddhist place of worship in Sri Lanka.

It is now a place of prayer for Burmese Buddhists.

Originally, the pagoda was white in color as a sign of purity in accordance with the Ceylon tradition, but under the old military rule in Myanmar it was painted gold. Most of these types of buildings have a golden color, but people insisted on restoring the beautiful white.

Unfortunately, I could not launch the drone there because the employees were using their drones and there was a danger of collision. Nevertheless, the photos show repairmen hanging on ropes, peeling off the old gold paint.
Niestety nie mogłem tam uruchomić drona, ponieważ pracownicy używali swoich dronów i istniało niebezpieczeństwo kolizji. Niemniej na zdjęciach widać pracowników remontowych zawieszonych na linach, zdzierających starą, złotą farbę.
