There are times at the airport fence where something is constantly happening. On the radar app are already two AMX to recognize that are after their training mission in the approach. On the ground there is a hectic rush as soon as some Eurofighter come rolled up, take to the runway and leave.
Es gibt Zeiten am Zaun des Flughafens an denen ständig etwas passiert. Auf der Radar App sind bereits zwei AMX zu erkennen, die sich nach ihrer Übungsmission im Anflug befinden. Am Boden herrscht Hektik als noch schnell einige Eurofighter angerollt kommen, auf die Rollbahn fahren und abfliegen.

Exemplarisch hier der 30+75, dessen Pilot sogar ein Handzeichen für uns am Zaun übrig hat! Natürlich freut es sie dass sie so viel Aufmerksamkeit bekommen und diese Geste ist nicht ganz selten. Wir sehen den Flieger direkt auf uns zurollen und dann auf die Rollbahn abbiegen.
As soon as they are in the air, the traffic light turns red again and two small lights appear in the distance. Slowly they are approaching and it is clear to everyone that it is the AMX, the Eurofighter would never fly so low!
Kaum sind sie in der Luft schaltet die Ampel wieder auf rot und zwei kleine Lichter erscheinen in der Ferne. Langsam kommen sie näher und es ist jedem klar dass es sich um die AMX handelt, die Eurofighter würden niemals so tief anfliegen!
As if they were controlled by magic, they move to the airfield completely identically, just a few meters away.
Wie von Zauberhand gesteuert bewegen sie sich völlig identisch in wenigen Metern Abstand auf den Flugplatz zu.
Here you can see the slats on the wing's leading edge. They occupy almost the entire length of the wings and are fully extended. Together with the flaps on the back of the wings, they enable a stable flight at slow speed and provide the necessary lift.
Hier sind die Slats an den Flügelvorderkanten gut zu sehen. Sie nehmen fast die gesamte Länge der Flügel ein und sind voll ausgefahren. Zusammen mit den Flaps an der Flügelrückseite ermöglichen sie einen stabilen Flug in langsamer Geschwindigkeit und sorgen für den nötigen Auftrieb.

Der führende Pilot hat Zeit uns ein Lächeln zu zuwerfen wärend der Folgende genau auf den Abstand achten muß und keine Zeit für solche Späße hat.

Dann huschen sie über den Zaun der Landebahn entgegen und wir warten auf die nächsten Aktionen oder vertreiben uns die Zeit mit Fachsimpeleien.
