About 2 months ago, I bought a Fittonia Albivenis plant and shared it’s picture in the link below

It looked really great when I first got it. It also needed very little care. I barely watered or fertilized it as I wasn’t sure how exactly to go about it. Then 2 weeks later it’s soil was really dry and I knew I needed to water it and I did. Then about a month later it started dying. I watered it and that did not help so I did the next thing. I fertilized it and after about 30 minutes it’s came back to life again.
I love this plant because it’s very quick in letting me know what exactly it needs. For someone not so good at raring plants , this is great. About 2 weeks ago I was about to throw the plant away cause it looked so hopelessly dead. I tried watering it, I even fertilized it and it still wasn’t “happy”. So I brought it down stairs and let the tap run through the plants soil for like at least a minute-or-so, then I left it alone and soon after it came back alive.
This plant is definitely interesting and I’m learning to take better care of it with time. I did read that it needs to be fertilized once a month and watered once a week, but I find that I have to rewet it more often than weekly, at least twice a week.
Here is what the plant currently looks like
As you can see, there’s much less foliage, also the plant on the far left only has one leaf left.
Does anyone know why the new leafs that grow keep drying up?
