This is my second year trying to grow an Elephant Ear Alocasia.
Last year was a fail, but this year is successful!
I have been a total helicopter parent to this plant, so now I want to share some dated progress photos with you guys:
3-26-20
This bulb is actually a Jumbo Elephant Ear Alocasia.
It was placed into well draining soil with a glass dome on top to hopefully raise the humidity levels. It also was placed inside on top of a heat mat.
4-9-20
First signs of visible growth!
But I accidentally planted the bulb upside down.
OOPS
I had to take it out of the pot and put it correctly (right side up) into a new, larger pot.

Ahhh green!
It took quite a while for the bulb to get reestablished in the new pot. Once it did though, it started pushing out lots of new growth!
