said my mother, and I disagreed.
"Play while you are doing your taxes!"
"That's no good..."
"Should out the numbers as you calculate....7000! Plus! 800! times! 4! over! 2!"
"haha"
I guess I convinced her.
Obviously there is such a thing as mania, where you are no longer really playing out of a desire to play but rather as an escape from the pain or displeasure of doing something you don't want.
A tad bit of mania is kind of sort of ok but it's also why so many people are afraid of playing all the time. Mania can be self destructive and won't let you get your paperwork done or help you avoid it, it'll get you in trouble with more paperwork to do.
Playing doesn't mean running away from what life throws at you. It doesn't mean ignoring it. It means coming at it with more positive energy than it can handle so that it's swept aside!
You don't have to flex your play muscle all the time. I guess my mom is sort of kind of right, but it always needs to be ready at any moment because the opportunities to use it are everywhere
Read my darn stories and listen to my flippin music ok! Love you I+Everything
