Hi there, I am new to Hive and will publish Hive-specific content here from time to time. For now, I´d like to try this out by re-using my publish0x content.
Let´s see which platform is superior ;)
Introduction
As I have mentioned several times before, Sorare is the blockchain project I spend the most time on. Only Gods Unchained comes close.
If you are into football and would like to profit from your knowledge or simply want to spend more time thinking about football, you should definitely check it out. However, while you can play Sorare for free with the cards you receive upon signup, you will need to spend some money (my cheapest team cost me ~100€) to fully enjoy the game.
To help out people who are new to Sorare, I have gifted a full team to one of my readers for Christmas and I am planning to do another smaller giveaway each month throughout 2022. More details at the end of the article.
If you are new to Sorare, don´t worry if you don´t fully understand all of the text below. You can find more basic explanations about Sorare in this article and please feel free to reach out to me via Twitter if you need help getting started.
Sorare Update
I have given an update on my earnings from Sorare only recently, so this will not be a focus of this article. As you can see in my last article about earnings from P2E games, it is realistic to earn a few hundred $ per month from Sorare with the right team.
The winter break has been quite eventful for my squad as Shamar Nicholson, my most important forward has been transfered to Spartak Moskow (meaning he´ll only start playing again in late February) and at the same time, the Kalifa Coulibaly transfer to Turkey, that I was very much hoping for, did not materilize. On a happier not for me, Fabian de Keijzer has recently been made the number 1 keeper at Utrecht, which is a big deal because starting goalkeepers are easily the most expensive players in Sorare.
All three developments were quite surprising (I knew Nicholson might be transfered but did not expect a move to Russia) and, with de Keijzer being made starting keeper, overall positive but it meant I had to get a new forward for January and February until the winter break in Russia is over.
My short term solution for this was purchsing Finn Stokkers of Waalwijk for 0.03 ETH / ~90€. He is not a starter but plays almost every game and should score consistently enough to earn a few 0.01 or 0.02 ETH threshold rewards.
SorareData values him at 0.04 ETH at the time of writing which seems to indicate I have made a good purchase here.
My plan for the next weeks is to continue earning as many threshold ETH rewards as I can with a team that cost me 0.138 ETH and invest mainly in the limited and rare U23 tournaments now that I have playing goalkeepers for both competitions.
The basis for my limited U23 team consists of de Keijzer and Tommy St. Jago (both Utrecht) and I will build my rare U23 team around Niangbo and Prass from Sturm Graz.
With playing U23 goalkeepers being an extremely rare commodity in Sorare, I see the most value in these two competitions (apart from the thresholds in Global Rare, of course.
January Giveaway
As promised, I will do another giveaway for players who sign up to Sorare via my referral link.
What can you win?
One of you will receive a free limited card to help you get started. The exact card will depend on my gallery by the time the winner is drawn but I suspect it will be one of these guys.
In any case, I will make sure to give away a player who should get regular minutes.
In addition to this, after you have bought your first five cards from Sorare´s primary market (“new card auctions”), you will receive a free limited card from Sorare.
To purchase cards on Sorare, you first need to top up your account and the easiest way to do this is via credit card. Simply click the wallet symbol on the top right corner of the Sorare website and select the option “Ramp”.
How can you win?
This opportunity is open to anyone who does not have a Sorare account, yet, and signs up via this link.
To enter the prize draw, follow these steps:
- Sign up to Sorare via this link.
