Do you remember that path you all told me to walk down? Well.. I did. The path was so down-trodden I couldn't even notice any footprints until I arrived at a point where thousands of them began to drift away from the path, and towards those shiny things you all warned me about. I didn't make that mistake though, I kept looking at was right in front of me, and I stayed on the path.
I knew you were all ahead of me somewhere, and so I kept on going, desperately trying to catch up with you. I soon arrived at a point where a few hundred more sets of footsteps meandered from the path and towards a magnificent, bright light. I did not fault though. I kept my eyes on the truth, on what lay before, and I pushed on forward to catch up with you, my heroes.
I didn't have to continue on long before most of the sets of prints wandered off again in a semi-circle and back to the same bright light. With seemingly only a few footprints left ahead of me, I now knew that those steps belonged to you, my heroes. So I kept my eyes on the path in front of me, and I charged up there in search of you.
That is until I arrived at a point where the footprints ahead of me all drifted off towards the light, forging an entirely new path for any who might follow behind me to be misled by.
Where have you gone?
You armed me with information, with courage, and with a desire to appropriate change; but now you are all walking into the arms of the enemy. You cannot see it, but I can, and I have no doubt, which is exceptionally rare for a skeptic such as myself.
I cannot do this without you
I see the light consuming all that lays behind me at far too quick a rate, and yet I know that I must venture back into the light so that I might find you all and bring you back here; to our path. But please, it will take me a little time. Don't go blind before I can make my way to you.
