Pleione. A star of the spectral type B8pe (28 Tau), one of the brightest stars in the Pleiades, around which an envelope formed, first discovered in 1938. The envelope grew in strength and reached its maximum brightness in 1945, after which the envelope began to weaken and by 1954 became barely noticeable. In 1972, another shell formed.
