Plumbago, or Leadwort as it is sometimes called, is a sprawling loose shrub which grows to around 6 feet tall, and as wide as 8 to 10 feet. it is very tough and hardy once established and can handle drought and is not fussy as to soil type. The Plumbago benefits from a good pruning occasionally to keep the growth compact. The plant flowers all throughout the year. Plumbago prefers a warm to temperate climate , but can be grown in cold climates if it is protected from frost and ice, as you would expect from a plant that is Native to South Africa. The two common colours of flowers are Blue and White. I snapped these photos locally, in you - know -where.
