Chapter I
let's talk a little bit about history
NLP began at the beginning of the 70s as a result of the collaboration between John Grinder and Richard Bandler, in the Unversidad de California (USA). These researchers sought to identify the communication factors used by the best psychiatrists and divulgatories for the purpose of elaborating a model for effective communication, personal changes, accelerated learning in sales, in the processors of negotiation, in health and in the infinite contexts that require processes of positive human interactions.
Bandler and Grinder (1980) directed their studies fundamentally in two directions:
a) As a process to discover the patterns of communication whose purpose is to excel in certain experiences.
b) As a successful way of thinking and communicating, taking as a model successful people.
The three magicians of communication and human change were: the hypnotherapist Milton Ericsson, the family therapist Virginia Satir and Fritz Perl, the maximum representative of Gestalt therapy
What is NLP?
Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) is a system based on understanding and using communication, with the purpose of producing positive changes in it, in other people and in the context, whether in the educational, business, sports, health, sales, in art, is spirituality and in any human context where you want to achieve communication excellence. NLP is known as the art and science of excellence; as a science, it offers specific procedures and practices, that is, a series of strategies that allow achieving results towards the improvement of the quality of the vine and the vision of the world in search of that excellence. As an art, it can be said that each person can apply with their unique and personal touch, that is, it is a model open to new contributions, where creativity and wisdom play a very important role.
Training in NLP allows the development of skills through which people generate the results that have been proposed, in any of the aforementioned fields. On the other hand, NLP allows the teacher to identify accurately the process of internal thought in himself and in others, this gives him the opportunity to be able to train them for new changes, using the modeling techniques, so that they can learn quickly to do what others have achieved with great effort and dedication. Iguially, this system allows for better use of one's own resources, eliminating compulsive behaviors, and modifying restrictive beliefs in order to make the necessary corrections that allow transforming them into enhancers.
