The spoils of war has lain its rest
Leaving their child in its own nest
Hopes that once lit their mind’s now gone
To a void that Satan has done
Sucked out of life in a fluster
They took their blood out of err
Drew their blood out and intestines
Embalmed and dressed, as if predestined
Then stood sets of coffin their size
Welcoming forth as their own Christ
As stiff as stone, they then slept
No remorse and no regrets
No one looked close to the grave
Hall echoed cries of regrets
The tensed mourners are all wary
Singing the dead’s last Kyrie
For distant gunshots and bombs ring
Louder than people’s weeping
The ship has sailed
To a journey to afterlife
They rest easy, thinking no strife
In the rubble that was once their home
Oh how blessed they are that has part
Away from this world that breaks heart
Where guns are flowers in folk’s eyes
Where wounded children often cries
Rest assured my lovely soldiers
You’re suffering will be in vain
For people never learn how to care
‘Cause hatred for each fellow flares
