Woke up in the dead of the night,
The pain too much to bear, the blood warm
My body soaked, hair wet, the pillow stained
All I could hear was nothingness
All I could see was dark shadow.
A human like shadow lurked
I crept out of my bed, shaking
A slap on my face, a cry could not come
I stood stunned, blood dripping
Then the dripping sound, silence.
Blood soaked where I stood
The ground sodden, the pain hard to bear
My body getting nub, still I stood
The ghost was taking shape
I stared, my tears dry.
Face to face with a ghost, I shook
The left ear was missing, cut
One huge eye, I could see
The arms full fur nails six inches I guess
My throat was the target, I saw
The scary being, not a ghost but me, a bottle
Dreaming… again.
