When it rains it pours
Wouldn't be the case if you kept it moving
But I have not been taught waiting that way
I was taught when you ask you wait, right there, wearyingly
So I know nakedness and disenchantment in the cold
Survival is key and that don’t come easy
Half the time you waiting you fighting logic to quit
And with the last of your energy you hold out your hands in receiving motion
Could take another year
But you Christian so you tame your impatience
Put a latch around its neck and walk it around the neighborhood of your mind
After you have collected all your hour glasses and made of them one huge year glass
And even that you have turned over several times now
We have not arrived yet so we keep running
