Through crashing waves,
The calls of sirens echo,
Death never sounded so tempting.
Dash against the rocks.
Charge the ship to shore.
Let it splinter and buckle,
Turned to timber.
I'm so tired of throwing this axe.
I never wanted to be the captain
I only wanted to see the coast
Only wanted that which mattered most.
A lovely by my side, not bitter riposte.
A lovely, yes, true love.
The lady Liz she took her price.
Took this poor Jonny plain as rice.
Robbed the listless queen Marie.
No draw in her quarter, no siree.
It's a pirates life for me
I had to break down the boat, you know.
Down to matchwood and splinters, even that fabled bow.
She could never put down the torch,
Lest of all get off the porch.
Shiver me timbers, going to be a cold one.
I can still hear the waves slap.
