SWEET KITTENS
From the moment you see it,
Those beautiful eyes,
The soft little paws and
Their sweet little cries
You try to walk away -
But no you must stay.
You finally leave, but your not alone
For yes already, your love has grown.
A small bowl of milk
Then in beds made of silk
This kitten now sleeps
Yes- it’s yours for keeps.
A spot by the fire keeps him ever so warm,
His shadow projected, his slender form.
Then suddenly, it’s off for a chase,
A mouse or a string, it’s just for the race.
To jump and to pounce is such wonderful fun
To run in the garden,
Then lie in the sun.
He’ll take your set, your couch and your bed
He slumps around until it’s time to be fed.
Then once his all fed, It’s back to bed.
Curled in a ball and licking his fur
Getting ready to sleep, with a very loud purr.
Yes today went so quickly, the day it just flew
But tomorrow will bring adventures anew
Both for your little friend and you.
