There were nights, when through tears and sighs,
I was trying to convince myself that everything’s fine.
There were nights, when it hurt so bad,
The thought that I’ll grow up one day was all I had.
There were nights, when I was crying myself asleep,
Making vows to myself, that I still try to keep.
There were nights, when I would look at the sky,
Counting the stars, trying to find mine.
There were nights, when I would stay up all night long,
Trying to find a purpose, a road of my own.
There were nights, when I was just waiting for the next day,
Hoping to be better than the one before.
There were nights, when I wanted for all to end,
But I clenched my teeth, and here I am.
