My name is Chiagozikwam Gaius-Igboanugwo. I was born 8am at The University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Nigeria on November 29th. I have three sisters, making me a family of six. I am the third born of four and we all live together.
Growing up my parents thought us the values of hard work, dedication and commitment in everything you do. We are Christians by religion. I started education when I was two years of age like most normal kids. I wouldn't say I was a smart child as at then, infact I even got nicknamed by my school and class mates as a 'dull head' . My parents found this very sad but they tried their best. Sometime in 2006, my parents decided to open a school of their own which got approval by the government.
I continued where I left off at my former school and surprisingly I became stronger academically. Graceville School grew in numbers and my siblings and I enjoyed our stay there. At that time, the Secondary school was still under development so I had to leave to a new school, Uniben Demonstration Secondary School, UDSS at Ugbowo, Benin City. My mum got a job at the University of Benin that same year and you could say life has been centred around that area. Secondary school was not so challenging and was quite fun. I wrote the West African Examinations Council exam, WAEC and the National Examination Council exams, NECO in 2016. That same year I graduated and gained admission into the University of Benin. I am currently a third year Pharmacy student of the University of Benin. School is challenging especially because of the course I'm studying but I'll get through it, by God's grace.
I started writing a long time ago since I was in Junior Secondary School. It has always been a way for me to express my thoughts and imaginations on paper. I write all kinds of literally works from Poems to Essays to articles and even Novels. I have over a hundred poems which I wrote myself. I am currently working on a novel which I hope would be published some time in March next year. A friend of mine introduced me to Steemit and told me all about the opportunities I can get especially as a writer that I am. I have joined the Steemit Community and I am expectant of the doors that will be opened for me.
