We knew not,
For reality betrayed our sight.
Though we see; it's dark among the tree'
And our minds was at spree
Soon, for life we justle',
After sighting an image, no room to castle.
"A Lion, a lion" we cried,
Into the unknown we dashed.
Our heels touch the back of our head',
Father's gun boomed at the image's head,
Alas! It was shadows of branches,
Lo! Like birds our soul' perches.
