In a dream, I run,
From a monster that's near,
A trippy thrill,
That I cannot bear.
With every step,
I feel its breath on my neck,
As I try to outrun,
This dream's deadly wreck.
My legs won't move,
As fast as I want them to,
And the monster is gaining,
Its pursuit is true.
The fear grips me tight,
As it gets closer still,
But just before it catches me,
I wake up with a thrill.
The dream was so vivid,
The monster so real,
The feeling of being chased,
Made my heart race with fear.
But as I open my eyes,
And realize it was just a dream,
I am relieved and grateful,
That in reality, I am safe and serene.
As I lay in bed,
I can't help but wonder,
What could have caused,
This dream's dark thunder?
What hidden fears,
Does my mind want to unveil?
Or is it just a random dream,
A product of night's tale.
Regardless, I know that,
in reality, I am safe and sound,
And will not let this dream,
Bring me down.
