Holding you tight while waking up.
Hadn’t really seen us much the last days.
Makes it even more of a blessing to have you in my arms.
To wrap my arms around you, your legs, torso, arms and breast.
Bedwarmth and morning light shimmering through the shades
A binary twirl of blankets, arms and legs
Rough days with almost tragic misconceptions lie behind us
Near misses cost us hours of division
Here we are now, intertwined like age old trees
Beings that belong together
Let’s dance the day.
Let’s dance from the core to the branches.
And back again.
