The wind blew me to the sea today,
far from you.
I asked her (the wind)
to take me back home,
to a place that I had forgotten I belonged to.
It is odd
to come back home
to a place that I've never been before.
Similar to gazing at the stars
with the great knowing that they were our birthplace
and we still carry their fiery DNA.
"Welcome back child",
the coconut trees and Arabian Sea are whispering,
"Return, return, return,
seed of my seed,
we have many stories for you".
Day 17 Poetry Challenge :: Think about a memory of when you arrived somewhere for the first time and immediately felt at home. What made you feel at home? The people, environment, smells, food? Write a poem about this experience.
