It's amazing how a certain word can make you feel so much happiness,
Or so much sadness.
It's extraordinary how a single word can be the highlight of your day,
Or the lowest point.
It's weird how words can affect us in the shortest time,
And stay with us in the long run.
Words can show affection,
They can show distaste,
They can show emotion.
Words are a powerful weapon.
My life revolves around words:
Good ones, bad ones;
Hurtful ones and touching ones.
You, to me, are a story.
A bittersweet tragedy.
And you've got me hooked.
I want to hate you.
But you knew,
You know how much I love stories like you.
You know how much i adore tragedies,
How much i crave angst.
Your words bring me oh, so high;
Yet they can also slam me down,
Shattering every bone in my body,
Again and again.
You always whisper sweet nothings to me;
Empty promises constantly pouring out from your mouth.
I want to hate you so bad, but i can't.
And you damn well know it.
You know how to reel me in like a good book,
You know how to toy with my feelings with just a few simple words.
You're worse than any other addiction,
You're worse than anything and anyone i can think of.
You say so many things
But never the one I need to hear the most.
I want to hate you, but the truth is...
"You're still my favorite yet most painful story to tell."
