early in the morning, watch the flare of the sun
fog floating down from broken branches
smell her milk, shake and done
that day was the day for goddess dances
maze of aisles, asphalt highway
nests of deathly lizards and snakes,
seared each step, must live on leap day
the roar of a hunter, ‘fore earthquakes
sleepy faces hanging on city bus
met the same face day after day
no recognition, none to trust
locked her heart, got lost on the way.
a poet crossed out graffiti,
poetry verses on the wall, ‘bout dignity.

today is the day for goddess dancing;
determination, round one in the garage.
flashmob on the street, people stop moving,
flesh and bones, as her red and white corsage.
the roar of a hunter in deep, darken cave,
the ruins of history landmark towering.
full moon in the sky agitating sea wave,
the gloomy universe receding.
locked her heart, threw the key into deep ocean,
waiting for her lover in a quiet graveyard—
in the chill of the night, no senses nor motion,
hiding from gray furry monster’s clutches.
poetry verses on the wall, whispered demon
twinkle stars over the moon for a reason.
