Panacea for Broken Hearts
The sickness of our soul is deep ,
Our hearts we keep
And hold up still
Waiting to heal.
The best of physicians have tried,
Sweet nerves have died!
No hearts surgery,
Cures loves foolery.
No panacea for broken hearts ,
Nor can the arts
Anneal our souls
Of grief-drilled holes.
