Why is there no god
And at the same time
Too many types of him.
Why do we care about people
But not all of them
As they would differ in value.
Why do we think we matter
And when life calls us on it
We walk by or look the other way.
I could tell you why
With thousand more examples
But do you really wanna know?
I thought so - and that’s the reason
We are full of narcissistic mistakes.
No religion should mark you for life
No job should define your social status
No heritage should decide your education.
It seems we need other goals
Other values and metrics.
It seems we need to raise our kids
With a new answer to the question
What matters most?
Hold it - don’t trump your faith too soon
Kids grow up and become young people
They can make a difference
They can bring change
We just have to listen, learn and adopt.
For a tomorrow in pride
It’s worth to march and scream
Through mirrors and walls
We need that future
And that future needs balls.
