We Kissed
An Original Poem by @CarlieEster
We kissed
And red lipstick stained your mouth like flowers pressed
Where dry met wet
And in a secret moment
We kissed
We kissed
I tied your tongue
Across your heart
and hoped
To kiss again before the flower dies
Dry on a page
Pressed like the rolling ink of a signature
Two names tied together
But
We kissed
And red lipstick fell in waves
Rushing over warm dry skin
Flooding a desert
Turning it to flowers
And drowning every other thought
Because where dry meets wet
Everything goes damp
And the blooming flower wilts
Because we kissed.
