Crystal cassette
A repeating tape of warm flux,
A cog in the breaking light.
Diamond mist and fire of agate,
I am flowing—I am still.
Skips on the pond-water,
I am an amethyst swan.
Under me, a black eternity,
Above me endless sky.
Stretching out my wings
I become a crystal parabola
Painted in mauve and violet.
Folding my wings, an avian flux
Disintegrating mercurial,
Handful of gravel tossed
Into the sun.
Broken by the wheels of fire,
Birthed into vehicles of void.
A shimmering absence cycling,
I am flying—I swim—I fall.
