From (1 of 100):
I'm going to try to challenge myself, and this is the very first one. I am going to try to write 100 Poems in 30 days (essentially, I'm trying to pay for a Birthday Gift for my wife and this is how I want to pay for it). Anyway 100 Poems in 30 Day... should be something to see. I just hope I can come through with good poetry that people enjoy.
Here you can see 53 of 100.
Now to the 54th in this series... let's make some money so I can buy her an even better gift!!
Guinevere
Catching rude on the travels
As a prudish maiden true
To the crown and sword,
She sits all high-and-mighty on the
Shining throne,
Holding audience with the most
Abhorrent folks...
The choking sobs of the slammin’ mob
Turning out towards a bit to rob
Gentlefolk of their hard-earned gob of loot.
She would shoot through the dishonest brooding lot,
Finish high if she finished not,
Lit up hot with anger got no
Courage stuck like Excalibur in the waiting Stone.
She is more than just a woman Known.
She has so much more attitude
Than the other peasant women ever show...
Wisest eyes lie on another guise
As she turns those eyes towards her
Instead of prizes of the score.
Then becomes an entire force of
Wills among the men recursive
In the way they turn their Circle in.
She has no place among those men.
She is so much more than them.
Finding peace with the other man.
