DORMANT ILLUMINATION
Our lives we live in darkness
you dream not what we see
'cause I see with four senses
and you blindly look at me.
Who's vision has more meaning?
Can be answered easily
it take more than just looking
for breathing eyes to see.
When darkness falls
our sight we can share
but in the light of morning
you see nothing there.
I close my eyes to the daylight
this moment is rare
seeing what you see
and wanting to share.
I can pause in my vision
and I know it's not fair
what we all take for granted
have you ever seen there?
We close our eyes and dream
you close your eyes and breathe
what our eyes have ignored
you struggle to perceive.
