Lately I've been writing about how the path to the life you want is within you. Your goals can be reached if you continue towards them day after day. Something that looks too hard to even be possible can be slowly conquered if you chip away at it piece by piece. I've been saying it is like a seed. You plant it, and it will grow if you tend to it. An acorn will eventually become a powerful oak tree. Every time I go to bed I am closer to my goal than I was in the morning.
You might make an excuse that you have it too hard. It is easy for everyone else because they had advantages. Stop believing that garbage. You can do it if you have the inner strength to work at it each and every day. The time for excuses has ended, and the time for action has begun. So, what are you planting to harvest years from now?
Grew a newborn feeble plant
Scarce a ray to cheer its sadness
Did the glorious sunlight grant
Yet, slowly day by day
It struggled on its cheerless way
To the opening far above
Its heart was filled with longing
For that land of light and love
Often it dreamt of that lands delight
That it had reached that dizzying height
And its heart would sometimes sink
“Can I even get there?”
Often this little plant would think
But it was never known to murmur
And each day its hold grew firmer
Never turning to look back
To the place from where it started
In the cavern damp and black
Now its path is growing lighter
All around things look brighter
Eagerly it looked around
What was its surprise and wonder
When to its delight it found
It had reached the land of flowers
Trickling streams and birds and sun showers
We can, a lesson learn
Aim for something great and high
Always may we thirst and yearn
And with our ardent desire
For that goal we will aspire
Though we may often stumble and fall
If we persevere with determination
We will overcome them all
Always up their sides we press
Day by day the distance left is less
