Our friendship group crumbles...
Everything seems so different,
Where are the good times we once had?
We're nothing but strangers in the same vicinity,
Reincarnated people and it's just so sad.
The harder we all try to fix things,
The greater the destruction from the bomb,
The spark and the special bond we all possessed,
Dying like the light when the flame has gone.
The stubbornness to make up,
You'd think it would be the simplest of tasks,
Instead we're all slyly stood around,
Hiding the truth like thieves behind the masks.
I wish we could go back and relive the past,
Have more meet ups rearranged,
But I guess we better kiss goodbye to the 'us',
And accept that everything has changed.
We're all at different chapters in our lives,
Reaching new heights in our own glory,
The next thing you know it'll be husbands and wives,
And the beginning of a new story.

An Original poem written by
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my poem. Recently I've witnessed a lot of subtle changes occurring and one of them being the relationship between me and my friends. So, I thought the best way to approach this change would be to confront it. I feel like there is a no better way to express your thoughts and feelings than through poetry. Therefore, it brings a sense of relief to know that I can speak my mind for the community to see.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Jonathan. :)
