This path beckons,
Leaves soft beneath,
Until a misplaced step
Turns up sharp.
Brambles taunt,
Fae shapes dancing in
Light and leaves.
Laughter on the wind.
Roots make way
For feet to leave the
Rest behind.
This path winds and rambles,
Heedless of fog,
Flirting with cliffs of disaster
And possibility.
This heart
Knows how to fly,
And how to shatter.
This body knows how
To tumble.
How to run.
The path snakes on.
Sometimes the trail forks,
Such that the previous path
Is lost forever.
Sometimes it leads
To adventures unknown.
To seas of uncertainty...
And fear.
And elation.
And freedom.

Keep walking your path.
And if you end up in a sea of uncertainty and elation, hang onto your surfboard. ;)
