Wish upon a dead star
My eyes closed, and with hands enfold,
I used to wish for a sun to warm my heart
But as dreams faded, those hopes scorched cold
My faith drifting, along with that shooting star
Now I find comfort in shades of night,
the lifeless moon feels less alone
Always glancing upon the battles I fight,
revealing all demons whom I own
And the silence draped around,
unfolds the scream roaring from within
A howling stripped from sound,
ends what did not begin.
