How simple can it be,
This vibrant icon, fallen from a tree.
Three in one, fed by veins,
To mark its foliage, with a cloak of fame.
But, is that all, a leaf can do,
Fall to the ground, in the morning dew?
I think not, as its image speaks,
Of a triune God, for whom we seek.
Simplicity, truth, and revelation found,
In a simple maple leaf, left unbound,
Draws us close to the meaning of,
The Holy Trinity, and God's love.
