Overlooking God
At this moment and time,
So much is in my mind.
I am unable to decide,
What’s wrong or what’s wise?
Engulfed in this thick fog,
Between morals and America’s laws.
Just when I feel lost,
My mind thinks of the cross.
The fog lifts as the winds blow,
And as I happen to look below.
Darkness is all I see,
What is happening to me?
Looking around at every angle,
I am shocked to see angels!
Here for this great thing,
My ascent on my own wings.
I now rejoice, feeling fit to be wise-
But the faces of the angels tell me otherwise.
