Ah, my little muffin! How I love thee!
Thou art desired for thy sweet softness.
Thy presence is announced by a decree-
that dances with my nose; what a recess!
Thy fragrance beckons me to come greeting.
And now I see thee at a distance fair.
I come to the oven. Thou art heating.
A timer sounds forth loudly to declare-
Thou art fully ready, and pipping hot.
My little muffin, thou art golden now.
Thy walnuts are the perfection I sought.
Thy chocolate chips, I desire to chow.
Forgive me, my dear muffin, as I fawn-
upon thee until thou art wholly gone.
Author's Notes: This is the 2nd Sonnet I've ever written. I just wrote it for the fun of it. Enjoy!! :-)
