Pastel Dreams
pastel dreams
infuse a surrendered
psyche
graceful is the presence
of that which cannot be named
defined or narrativized
I blush at my inadequacies
my colourful words, feeble attempts
grateful for the obvious, glorious entanglement
revealed with my clumsy essay and scratchings
I am out-shone by a solitary cloud
a watery blemish in the golden hour
Golden Hour
an invitation to turn
from screens
embrace dreams
Coma
my mind soars
out of body
an inter-dimensional comet
radio transmitted
though the ether
is it a rendezvous
or a solar flare
invasion
a whirlwind of messages
pass through a porous nucleus
received, given, and left behind
burnt off and forgotten
my identity…
embellished
incensed
scattered
shed
turn yourself loose
the satellites implore
stop and join us
trade your juggernaut perspiration
for an opalescent sheen
Oak Burr Knots
darken the forest
hardened scars
cast the
longest
shadows
My Shadow Void
has rough currents
dahlia destroyer
she means well
A Quiet Zephyr
coaxes the leaves
to murmur
mental health support
Eclipses
thoughts and ego
a mirrored satellite
eclipses
my happiness
I allow the darkness
to pass
and let the light return
Dream in Galastic
vastness, the microscopic
conceived in a breath
My Lens Attempt
to capture stars, nebulae
daisies photobomb
A Sudden Downpour
a blessing, for those
who did not
wash the car
Allow the Flower to Open
the bud encapsulates
possibility
develops and protects
infant stigma and style
ovary and ovules
gestates beauty
continuity, diversity
until the garden is readied
with rain and warmth
all is kept safe
bound within
anther and filament
must be given reach
be allowed to broadcast
upon breeze and wave
if bird, bee, and butterfly
are to be fed and sustained
petals must be granted
space to bloom
the mothering bud
softened and expanded
if nature is to persist
a closed state
is the death of life
allow the flower to open
Under Dark Lashes
behind closed lids
a star-lit garden
flowers, blooms
The Body Reclines
the body reclines
lids close, lashes latch shut
doors open to dreams
Red-shifted Invasion
a blue sky is invaded
by airborne pillows
the golden hour reigns
vision shifts from purple to red
eyes close and the minds open
light industry and toll
replaced with dreams
soporific endeavours
a red-shifted invasion
rebels smell of lavender
