Waves Cut

one sunbeam splits

Experience starts with the seemingly simple, the whole, and differentiates into the seemingly complex with the aid of human perception.
Random Thought
Just a random thought I had back on May 30 and shared on X.
Insistence and expectation; holding to a time schedule, makes happiness impossible.
The Wilds, Red-Shifted
red-shifted
the Wilds, room temperature
a breeze shakes
dead leaves
to life
the awakened world
now a strait of dreams
my eyes open
Something about an early fall day, where the heat of summer lingers; but the crisps airs has RSVP'd. It's electric and full of anticipation.
Little Foxes
I miss the museums, science centers, and frequent festivals that come along with living in a big city. Even with some cities that maintain abundant green spaces, residents can also enjoy the untamed in the form of squirrels, raccoons and the odd coyote. Vancouver had it all. But even with the frequent wildlife sighting that came along with residing in Lotusland, now more than year's passed, foxes there were none. Here in the hinterlands, they are not too rare of a sighting.
These kits, and I assume their mother, set up lodging in some abandoned buildings just as you enter my village. They are so cute but have already begun a life of petty crime. Not in the picture, some poor kid's football that they had claimed as their precious and then proceeded to puncture with their teething canines.
Yes, foxes will steal all kinds of things you leave lying around. Really, nature should have given them the masks and not raccoons. Even with their pilfering ways, I adore seeing them trot about the neighbourhood:)
Photo my own, taken through the car window. Sorry for the quality.

A Waif Void
This photo is mine.
We had foxes and now for some cats. Our little void looks like a kitten here, and not her usual plump, big girl self. She had just recovered from a tummy onslaught. She is a bit of gourmand and likely ate something she shouldn't. She is well on the mend now, and back to chunky self, but didn't she rock the waif look at the time.
The In Between Time
the in-between time
romance of solitary hours
dreams and wanderlust
you are confined to my mind
but have escaped my embrace
Longing and dreams go so well together. In those moment just between waking and sleep, he is almost there.
