SPACE I.
Drips
Of meditation
I took a course
An introduction to space
In the blackness of an eyelid
I sat firmly
Separated from rain
Curtains on dry ground
There is so much out
So much doing and moving
So much clicking and scrolling
With one way visuals
And this would be
A voyage all senses would need
With a timely fee
SPACE II.
She handed me a look
One I could borrow
Until the morrow
Paid wisdom
And this confidence
Like the time you promised
I'd see you after the sun
Became a residence
A pride I could walk in
Rest and be bested by myself
You send messages
To me who was once
Too weak to parry or pray
With the vestige of vests
Covering my chest
I knew dressings
For what I should say
SPACE III.
I was too afraid to write
So I took space
And a moment's pocket
But I should have just written
Blabber on blubber
Parsing off paper
Abandoning acerbic accomplices
This bird nested swallow
In my throat hollow
Pecking away potential
Has taken a cue
And flown to you
With no drag or lift
SPACE IV.
She cherished the time
From 7 to 8AM
Before the students arrived
It was her trek
On the mountain
Of minds before dawn
She loved the air
From mouths that stirred
Her hair with truth
When her descent was due
These pupils knew
Her source from the dew on her shoes
