My poetry may stink
But doesn't it all depend on the way that we think?
If I write from my heart but you don't understand
Then maybe I expressed myself using the wrong hand
When a left handed uses their right
Or a right uses their left
The writing is so sloppy
The poet will regret
But obviously you can't make a slop with typing
But it was only a figurative metaphor
When we express ourselves in an unfamiliar style
New readers will become bored
But if we craft our poetry in ways that make sense
Or if we add rhymes to impress our friends
Or if we add emoticons the spice up the graphics
Sometimes when I read I'm staring what is this
Yes I agree some poetry is horrible
I even know some poets who are so bad
If I ever felt betrayed I know the perfect revenge
I can tell them how awful their rhymes are
How meaningless their words are
How their poems are so talentless
They should hold on tight to their day jobs
Because their poetry makes them slobs
Some poets don't even try
They act like they're writing with closed both eyes 👀
But it took me some time to come to realize
Their style is their style and mine's is mine's
