WHY ART THOU MOTHERLAND GONE MUTE

I live in a world
where no one is satisfied,
where everything is classified,
where the governments are blamed for personal mischief,
where a hardworking citizen envy the flamboyant life of a thief.
where the leaders of yesterday are not ready to leave for the leaders of today even at the dawn of tomorrow,
where the role of a woman is at the other room,
where going to school is just to please people around you,
where people are striving not knowing what the future hold though.

Where ambitions of becoming doctors, pilots and engineers had been substituted with blogger, footballer and rapper,
where the rich is getting richer and the poor poorer,
where you are been derived of quality education yet you take the blame,
where politics is now a do or die game,
where a knowledge impacter boost of his learner failures.
Where the truth is hidden even when the people adjure,
where talent has never been appreciated ,
where the cost of living has been depreciated,
where education teaches how it should be instead of how it is,
And no way out so the generation can give a sigh of bliss,
where the people will forever cope,
what is the need of a blind man taking photographs if not of hope,
where a graduate of zoology is working in a Cafeteria
the struggle is real, after all this is Nigeria.
