Tag You're It
Tag you're it
I was the first to get hit
It was sudden like an epileptic fit
There was nothing I could do about it
My heart was tagged
My head showed no flag
There was just a rush of emotion
There was no time to think about this notion
I rushed towards this black hole
I didn't realize how it slowly consumed my soul
There was nothing more mysterious
Than the smile that lay so precariously in front of me
When I realized there was only danger ahead
It was to late I was in over my head
I was being pulled faster than the speed of light
By her gravitational field, I tried my best to fight
I couldn't do anything
I was rendered useless
All my light was sucked from me
I was left in the dark with no way to see
I learnt then and there
Tag was a game that had no fear
You played with one risk
To fall into a black abyss
Never play alone
Running after one will leave you beat to the bone
There's more to life than toxicity
Run if you feel that everything is made simple by complexity
As beautiful as it may seem
Your heart is worth more than any amount of green
You are who you are
Don't chase after a faded, destructive star
