There are enough damn contests...

But, first off, shout out to Hive account@crescendoofpeace for her feedback (please offer your own too...some questions below) and entry into our new charitable poetry contest. She has agreed to donate the post's payout to Hive account@youarehope (✿◠‿◠) There are only 2 days left until then, so go read her amazing poem and upvote!

So, Speaking of Contests...

Hive account@angelveselinov and I are trying to retool our contest to support charitable efforts here on Steemit. The two poems above were our only entries this time around, so I'd like to hear from the #poetsunited community about ways to improve it.

For one, the minnow prize pool is OUT and I apologize for any confusion a 2-in-1 contest may have caused. Truth is, I fought to keep it in simply because I want to encourage and support minnow poets (like myself!) here on Steemit. Instead, I will personally award 1-3 SBD each week to poets whose work touches me so long as the post has been tagged #poetsunited .

Feedback and So Far...

So, as I mentioned, the contest is now strictly for charity. There will be no prize pool. One other change we'd perhaps like to make is opening it up to causes besides Hive account@youarehope .

~ Would y'all like the option to donate to whatever cause or to whomever you like on Steemit? Should there be stipulations; what kind?
Should we rotate themes or prompts? Or...
Should the entries be based on the charity or a charitable act?
Should we host it every 2 weeks to verify the donations? Or...
Once weekly and let it be?
How should the announcement posts' payouts be handled? 50/50 between Hive account@poetsunited and Hive account@youarehope or something else?
Do you want or care about a Most Charitable Poet feature post about the poem that raised the most?
Do you want something else or in addition to a resteem from Hive account@cleansingpoetry and a Free month PoetsUnited.org subscription?
Any other feedback?
