This is a short Pokemon TCG post. I feature a Pachirisu Promo Pokemon Card From Japan to be released on February 21, 2024 in Japan. The news is from Pokebeach.com. Screenshot of news and Pokemon card below.
The second attack on the bottom requires one lightning energy and a colourless energy to do a small 30 damage. It is not a good attack.
Pachirisu's first attack translated into Crackling Charge does offer variable energy acceleration. It is a coin flip attack which is generally viewed as bad by many players. Crackling Charge involves flipping 3 coins. For each heads attach a Lightning Energy from the discard pile to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like.
The probability of all three flips being tails resulting in no energy acceleration is 1/8. This is from half times half time half.
The probability of all three flips being heads resulting in three lightning energy acceleration is 1/8. This is from half times half time half as well.
Getting one lightning energy or one head out of three flips would be 3/8.
For two heads out of three flips there is a 3/8 chance of that happening.
The chance of 1 or more heads from three flips would be 7/8.
Getting two or three heads from three flips would be 4/8 or 1/2.
Put This In Miraidon Electric Deck?
Note that Flaaffy is an E regulation card that would no longer be in tournament play outside of Japan in early april because of rotation. The removal of Flaaffy hurts Electric decks in general so a replacement or something close to Flaaffy is needed.
The probability of one or more heads out of three flips is 7/8 which is pretty good I think. There are players that avoid coin flipping all together as randomness is scary. This Pachirisu card could be okay in a Miraidon ex Electric deck. One copy at most maybe.
