Hi there. I cover the Eri Supporter card from the latest Pokemon trading card game expansion set Temporal Forces.
The Eri Supporter Card
This Eri Supporter card allows you to look at the opponent's hand and you can discard up to 2 Item cards from the opponent's hand. Being able to discard cards from the opponent's hand is quite powerful. Discarding key Item cards from the opponent such as Rare Candy, Nest Ball, Super Rod, Switch, Switch Cart and even ACE SPEC item cards like Reboot Pod, Prime Catcher and Awakening Drum is pretty disruptive.
In the worst case scenario Eri turns into look at your opponent's hand. The best case scenario involves discarding two Item cards from the opponent. In many decks there are not many cards that retrieve Item cards from the discard. Cards that come to mind when it comes to Item Retrieval are Cyllene (Supporter), Regielki and Darkrai VSTAR.
Decks That Can Run Eri
Control type decks would definitely benefit from Eri to limit opponents from attacking and playing the game. Snorlax Stall decks can benefit from this card too.
Normal attacking decks can maybe use one copy of Eri to add a bit of a nasty surprise to opponents. It is a gamble though when it comes to using Eri. When it works it works well and when it does not work then you would wish you did something else.
